Walk the first 60 seconds.

Ask a person unfamiliar with your workplace to find where to start. Can they identify their host, read the arrival instructions and get assistance? Check the signs and devices used at the actual entrance, including a help path when someone cannot use the kiosk or phone.

Give induction content a clear job.

Lead with the information that matters at this location. Use a relevant image when it explains a step better than a paragraph. Keep instructions readable, explain unfamiliar terms and provide an alternative when a video cannot be watched or heard. Confirm which forms, acknowledgements or quizzes apply before arrival is completed.

Design the return visit.

A familiar face can still need current information. Decide when a recognised visitor may complete a refresher, how completion expiry is handled and which changed instructions require the full journey again. A shorter journey still needs a clear confirmation of check-in.

Keep departures visible.

Make sign-out instructions easy to find and decide who follows up unconfirmed departures. Recorded attendance records actions in the system. It cannot prove physical presence or replace your workplace emergency procedures.
